Understanding Your Electricity Bill for Solar Sizing
Your monthly bill amount is the starting point for sizing a solar system, but the number that actually matters is your consumption in units (kWh), not the rupee amount. Electricity tariffs in India are slab-based — meaning the rate per unit increases as your consumption rises — so two households with the same bill can have different actual consumption depending on their slab. Net Metering, Explained Simply
Think of net metering as a running balance with your electricity board.
